A superb Maling octagonal plate decorated with the Prunus pattern produced briefly in 1928-29. An early art deco design in black and white with gold overprinting to highlight the detail and give a luxurious finish. In great condition - no chips, cracks or restoration and showing little sign of wear. The gilding is excellent. Rare to find, especially in such good order. Printed Maling mark with painted pattern number 3576 and impressed date for 1929. Width 22.25cm (8.75in)
