A fine Royal Doulton shape 7349 posy vase, sometimes called the Empire State vase because of the finned art deco shape. The 'Rustic England' series was designed by W E Grace in 1936 and featured twelve scenes of rural life in old England. The vase depicts three girls who've been gathering twigs climbing over a stile. In excellent condition; no chips, cracks or restoration. A rare shape to find in this series, especially in such good order. Signed 'Grace' on one side. Printed Royal Doulton and series marks. Height 9.5cm (3.75in)
