Lovely Delton Ware of Burslem Hand Painted Pottery Rose Bowl c1910

Produced by S. W. Dean of Burslem (1904 - 10) and marketed under the trade name of Delton Ware, as you can imagine these pieces are quite rare as they were only in production for a few years. On a handpainted background of rich blues and swirling olive green leaves are bright art nouveau waterlilies in yellows, purples,and pinks. Complete with pierced lid, it is in excellent condition, with only the usual age related micro-crazing of the glaze which is only visible on the base and interior. A rare and superb piece of English art nouveau pottery. Height including lid 16cm (6.3in)
