A large Newport 314 octagonal bowl moulded with stylised flowers and birds in flight. Hand painted with bright enamels in purple, blue, green, orange and yellow on a satin 'mushroom' glaze ground. An unusual shape that works beautifully with the design. In excellent condition; no chips, cracks or restoration. Clarice Cliff signature with Newport Pottery mark and moulded shape number 314. Maximum width 23cm (9in)
