Lovely Clarice Cliff Bizarre 'Pastel Melon' Square Leda Dish c1932

A fine Bizarre Leda shape butter, jam or bonbon dish. Beautifully painted in the pastel colourway of Melon (sometimes called 'Picasso Fruit') in pink, green, and blue, outlined in yellow. The pattern works well on this square shape. In excellent condition; no chips, cracks or restoration. A classic art deco Clarice Cliff pattern; these interesting little shapes are becoming harder to find. Lithograph 'Fantasque Bizarre by Clarice Cliff, Newport Pottery' mark. Width 12.cm (4.75in)
