Lovely 19th Century Staffordshire Pottery Figure 'Princess Victoria & Billy the Goat' c1850 (Sold)

A charming Staffordshire portrait figure of the Princess Royal (Victoria, Queen Victoria's eldest child born 1840) sitting astride her pet goat, Billy. Fine colouring, including lots of cobalt blue, indicative of this period of production. In great condition, so many of these goat type figures are damaged, especially the horns. This one is perfect and shows little sign of wear. A real gem. Height 14cm (5.5in)
