A large Royal Doulton rack plate from the coaching days series, depicting the coach horn sounding and the departure watched by a solitary man. Coach with red door and trim. Designed by the illustrator and cartoonist Victor Venner (fl.1904-24). Series number D4891. In excellent condition; no chips cracks or restoration. Lion, crown and circle Royal Doulton mark with impressed date for February 1936. Diameter 26cm (10.2in)
