Large Mason's Patent Ironstone China Coloured 'Blue Pheasant' Pattern Hydra Jug c1890 (Sold)

A large coloured 'blue pheasant' octagonal Ashworth's period Mason's Patent Ironstone jug with a pale lustre rim and hydra handle with rich gilt detail. Blue printed under the glaze with hand applied enamel colours and lovely floral detail to the inside rim. In excellent condition - no chips, cracks or restoration. Some age related crazing, but nothing to detract from this impressive piece. Mason's crown mark. Height 18.75cm (7.4in)
