Large Maling Blue Lustre 'Grape Vine Border' Chelsea Bowl c1930

A lovely Maling lustre Chelsea bowl decorated in the centre with a butterfly, the border with grapes and vine leaves against a blue scale ground. In excellent condition - no chips, cracks or restoration. Minor wear to the gilding round the rim (exaggerated more in photos than is actually the case). Nothing really to detract from the display value of this early example of Maling lustre. Painted pattern no 5917 and printed Maling mark. Diameter 21.25cm (8.4in)
