A superb Carlton Ware 'Night Oak' large jug or pitcher with branch handle. An impressive item beautifully hand painted in the rich blue colourway representing an oak tree at night. In excellent condition with a fine satin/matt glaze. No chips, cracks or restoration and showing little sign of wear. Rare to find, especially in such good order. Printed Carlton Ware script mark with Registration Applied For and impressed shape number 1146. Height at handle 22.25cm (8.75in)
