Information

A rare Bough Pottery tyg or three handled tankard by Richard Amour, brother of Elizabeth Amour who founded the Edinburgh based studio in 1913. A large and impressive item beautifully painted with pomegranates, grapes, cherries, plums and other fruit on a royal blue ground. The handles, inner rim and base painted in bright green. A fantastic piece in great condition - no chips, cracks or restoration. Some age related crazing mainly to the base, though nothing to detract from the display value of this lovely example of Scottish pottery. Painted Bough, pattern reference 384V and initials RA with printed backstamp "Made in Scotland". Diameter 14cm (5.5in), height 15.2cm (6in)
