Information
Superb large two pint tankard in medium blue with a maritime scene each side, with a young man reading seated beside a girl holding a lyre. Between the two scenes is the prominent Victorian royal coat of arms. The handle is elaborately scrolled. A stunning item, in a rare pattern and shape. There are three old tight hairlines extending from the rim, but it is still an imposing piece which displays beautifully. The border has small flowers, leaves and scrolls. Unmarked, but underglaze blue workman's marks. Height 12cm (4.75in)
