A stunning Grimwades plate in the highly collectable 'Chrysanthemum' range. This lovely shaped plate, similar to the Ascot shape, is boldly hand painted with white enamelled blooms with orange centres on a sponged cobalt blue background. Near the top is a gold spider's web which stands out against a paler blue ground. In excellent condition; no chips, cracks or restoration and the gilding is beautifully intact. Printed Royal Winton, Grimwades circular art deco mark in blue and impressed date for 1934. Width 22.25cm (8.75in)
