A superb Hancock and Sons Morris Ware C7-12 vase designed by George Cartlidge. Tube lined with tulips in shades of violet, olive green and ochre on a deep sea green ground, the base with a band of violet flowers on an ochre ground. In excellent condition - no chips, cracks or restoration. Some minor age related crazing typical of these wares, really only noticed on close inspection and nothing to detract from this beautiful vase. Rare to find, especially in such good order. Printed Morris Ware mark with Geo. Cartlidge signature and painted design reference C7-12. Height 20cm (7.9in)
