A large Hancock and Sons Morris Ware C12-12 flower bowl designed by George Cartlidge. Beautifully tube lined with roses, buds and leaves in shades of purple and blue/green on a dark ochre shaded to sea green ground. In excellent condition - no chips, cracks or restoration. Some mild age crazing on close examination, but nothing to spoil the look of this rare item. A lovely shape that shows the design to full effect. Printed Morris Ware mark with Geo. Cartlidge signature, incised C12 and painted design reference C12-12. Diameter 23cm (9in), height 9cm (3.5in)
