A fine World War 1 Grimwades Bruce Bairnsfather 'Old Bill' wall plaque entitled "WHAT TIME DO THEY FEED THE SEA-LIONS, ALF?". Printed in sepia with Bruce Bairnsfather signature. In great condition; no chips, cracks or restoration. Mild age related crazing typical of these wares. Pierced foot rim for hanging. Grimwades globe and “Made by the Girls of Staffordshire during the Winter of 1917/18 when the Boys were in the trenches fighting for Liberty and Civilisation” backstamps. Diameter 19cm (7.5in)
