George Cartlidge Designs

An extremely talented artist and designer, George Cartlidge (1868-1961) was to the fore in developing and using new design styles and techniques. He worked at Hancock's from 1916 through to the early 1920's, producing Morris Ware from 1917 to 1923. Many of the shapes he developed for Morris Ware were also used for subsequent ranges designed by F X Abraham and Molly Hancock.
