Information
A rare iridescent glass vase by Thomas Webb from the green Bronze range. Probably one of the first successful attempts by glassmakers in the 19th century to replicate their version of the iridescence occurring on excavated ancient glass, Cyril Manley called Webb's Bronze 'regal'. A lovely example of a classic early shape with a single applied handle. It shows off the glass maker's art and subtle iridescent qualities beautifully. In great condition; no chips, cracks or wear. Finely polished pontil mark. Height 11.5cm (4.5in)
