A lovely embossed rack plate showing Lord Nelson's flagship at Trafalgar 'The Victory' in full sail. The low relief detail hand painted in superb colour, captures the scene brilliantly. Flying seagulls around the border add to the movement and complete the nautical theme. In excellent condition; no chips, cracks or restoration, not even crazed. An early piece dated 1939 (the series was introduced in 1938). Royal Doulton and special series backstamps with impressed date. Diameter 26.5cm (10.4in)
