A rare art deco period Grimwades toast rack in 'Lakeland' - hand painted in bright colours with lots of detail. In good condition, no chips, cracks or restoration. Fine age related crazing, typical of these wares and nothing to detract. A beautiful display item, the design first introduced in 1936. Marked Grimwade's Royal Winton and 'Lakeland' with 'Registration no. 810588'. Length 17.25cm (6.75in)
