Fine Clarice Cliff Bizarre 'Rhodanthe' Square Leda Dish c1934

Stock Status: In Stock
Information

A fine Leda shape butter, jam or bonbon dish. Beautifully painted in an early (Bizarre) version of 'Rhodanthe'. The sinuous pattern of 'etched' marigolds works well on this square shape. The colours are bright and thickly applied with no loss or oxidisation. In excellent condition; no chips, cracks or restoration. A classic art deco Clarice Cliff pattern. These interesting little shapes are becoming harder to find, especially in such good order. Lithograph 'Hand Painted, Bizarre by Clarice Cliff, Wilkinson Ltd' and printed Wilkinson's Honeyglaze marks. Width 12cm (4.75in)
