F and R Pratt Orange Shaped Marmalade Pot c1878

A rare marmalade pot and cover by Pratt and Co. in the form of an orange. Hand painted in bright naturalistic colours. In good antique condition - some minor nibbles to the inner rims, but nothing to detract from the display value of this lovely and unusual item. Registration diamond for 15 Nov 1878 when Pratt and Co. registered the design. Diameter 10.25cm (4in)
