A fine early Wedgwood soup plate printed in medium blue with 'Absalom's Pillar' or 'Absalom's Tomb', based on prints from Luigi Mayer's 'Views of Palestine' c1804. Framed by a very distinctive and beautiful border of crocuses and lenten roses. In excellent condition; no chips, cracks or restoration. Rare to find in such good order. Impressed WEDGWOOD. Diameter 25cm (9.85in)
