A fine print in medium to dark blue with an octagonal picture of a castle/pagoda reminiscent of Spode's  'Gothic Castle', though unmarked and maker unknown. Set with figures in a Chinese style landscape and a border of eight octagonal medallions alternately with flowers and figures with a dog. A lovely rippled glaze and slightly indented shape. In great condition with very little age related wear; no cracks, chips or restoration. Some minor manufacturing glaze pitting, mainly to the reverse, though nothing to detract. Diameter 24.5cm (9.6in).
