Early Spode 'Tiber' or 'Rome' Pattern Small Platter c1815 (Sold)

A fine Spode 'Rome' or 'Tiber' platter, well engraved and printed in medium blue, showing a view of Rome from the Tiber, with Castello St. Angelo, Trajan's Column and St. Peter's. In excellent condition; no chips, cracks or restoration and showing little signs of wear. Rare to find, especially in such good order. No foot rim and a lovely pale blue rippled glaze. Printed SPODE in blue and impressed '21'. Width 26.5cm (10.4in)
