A superb Spode canoe shaped toast rack printed in medium blue with an early chinoiserie design featuring elements including two men on a bridge and a boat with a flying pennant. The uprights are elaborately pierced and the edges hand painted in cobalt blue. A rare item in excellent condition - no chips, cracks or restoration. Finely potted with a lovely blue pearlware glaze. Impressed SPODE 11. Length 25.5cm (10in)
