Early Spode 'Castle' Pattern Sauce Tureen Stand c1820 (Sold)

A lovely Spode small tureen stand in the 'Castle' pattern, based on the Merigot print  'Gate of Sebastion'. Printed in the usual light/medium blue, it's in great condition and shows very little signs of wear. Fine rippled blue pearlware glaze. Impressed uppercase SPODE and 39, with blue printed workman's mark. Length 21cm (8.25in)
