An early Royal Doulton Friar jug from the Dickens Ware series designed by Charles Noke and depicting Mr Pickwick from 'Pickwick Papers'. In great condition; no chips, cracks or restoration. Some fine age related crazing associated with these wares - though nothing to detract. A lovely example of this very collectable series and rare to find in such good order. Special Royal Doulton Dickens Ware mark and painted series number D3020. Height 17cm (6.75in)
