Early Pair of Mason's Patent Ironstone China 'Japan Peony' Pattern Dessert Dishes c1820

A fine pair of Japan pattern scalloped dishes decorated with a striking design of peonies in iron red and gold. A classic early shape, both in excellent condition - no chips, cracks or restoration and only a little sign of 200 year old wear. Nice to find a pair from this period in such good order. Impressed circular PATENT IRONSTONE CHINA (used c1813-1820). Width 24.2cm (9.5in)
