A lovely George Jones majolica plate featuring strawberry leaves laid on a white napkin with lilac background and yellow ochre rim. Nicely moulded and in great condition. No chips or restoration, though there is some glaze crazing to the reverse which doesn't go through or detract at all. Good tortoise-shell mottling with painted pattern number 2254 and impressed 'GJ' monogram with Stone China, Stoke on Trent. Diameter 20.25cm (8in)
