Early Gaudy Welsh Milk Jug c1840

A fine old Gaudy Welsh jug decorated in cobalt with light blue and iron red flowers and touches of green and purple lustre. Lovely C scroll handle. In great condition; no chips, cracks, staining or restoration. Some minor age related rubbing of the glaze on the rim and handle - nothing serious and still displays beautifully. Rare to find early pieces in such good order. Height 15.9cm (6.25in)
