A lovely Clarice Cliff sandwich tray. Strong colours and beautifully painted in the early version of 'Gayday'. In reasonable condition; no cracks, scratching or restoration. There is fine age related crazing, more noticeable to the reverse, a couple of minor nibbles on the corners underneath, and a factory grind to remove excess glaze from the foot rim (see image 4). Nothing too serious and still displays beautifully. Hand written 'GAYDAY' with Bizarre by Clarice Cliff. Length 30cm (11.8in)
