Early Charlotte Rhead Burleigh Ware 'Fruit' Lustre Vase c1928 - Pattern 4016

A large Charlotte Rhead vase with stylised orange, purple, cerise and bronze lustred fruit on a white lustre ground. Produced in 1927/28, this is a more unusual colour variation of the standard 'Fruit' design. Tube lined in dark blue, it's in excellent condition; no chips, cracks or restoration and showing minimal signs of wear. Printed 'Burleigh Ware' globe mark with 'L Rhead' (for Lottie) signature in blue and painted pattern number 4016/48. A beautiful piece of early Charlotte Rhead. Height 26cm (10.25in)
