Information
A titled scene from the Named Italian Views series showing the 'Terrace of the Naval Amphitheatre at Taorminum' - a rare one to find in this famous Don Pottery series. Printed in a medium blue with the series border of flowers against a stippled ground with leaves and two prominent putti holding garlands. In good condition, showing little sign of wear although there is a small 'bruise' to the rim edge (at about 10 o'clock), only noticed on close inspection. Still a fine plate that displays beautifully. Lovely pearlware blue rippled glaze and no foot rim. Unmarked. Diameter 25.5cm (10in)
