A titled scene 'Terrace of the Naval Amphitheatre at Taorminum' and a rare one to find in this Don Pottery series. Printed in a medium blue with the series border of flowers against a stippled ground with leaves and two prominent putti holding garlands. In great condition, showing little sign of wear and no chips, cracks or repairs. Lovely pearlware blue rippled glaze and no foot rim. Unmarked. Diameter 25.5cm (10in)
