Derby Crown Porcelain Imari Pattern 1691 Cabinet Plate c1887

A beautiful old Derby cabinet plate decorated with masses of gilding and Imari colours in the seldom seen 1691 pattern (introduced in 1884) which used a bronze ground instead of the usual red enamel. In excellent condition - no chips, cracks, restoration or signs of wear. Rare to find pieces of this age in such good order. Printed Crown Derby mark with year code for 1887, impressed DERBY and painted pattern number 1691. Diameter 22.25cm (8.75in)
