A lovely Davenport rococo jug on shell feet and elaborate scrolled handle. Decorated around the rim with a cream buff underglaze ground colour, overglaze gilt patterns and enamelled pink flowers. A stunning example in remarkable condition; no chips, cracks or restoration and showing little if any signs of wear. Rare to find in such good order. Printed DAVENPORT LONGPORT STAFFORDSHIRE in pale puce (early mark) and painted pattern number 1186. Height 13.45cm (5.25in)
