A fantastic Crown Devon octagonal 'Era' shape biscuit barrel by Enoch Boulton, former design manager for Carlton Ware. Hand painted with strikingly bold art deco overlapping V's and circles in yellow, orange, brown and black. In excellent condition - no chips, cracks or restoration and showing little sign of wear. A very rare item to find, especially in such good order. Original wire and raffia handle. Printed Crown Devon mark, impressed ERA with shape registration number 717028 and painted pattern reference A19. Height including lid 18cm (7.1in)
