A superb quality Copeland parian vase finely modelled as Nimrod's head and attributed to the sculptor A. Hays. Based on Assyrian antiquities discovered in the 1840's and acquired by the British Museum. In excellent condition - no chips, cracks or restoration. A rare item to find, especially in such good order. Glazed interior. Impressed COPELAND and date for 1882. Height 16.5cm (6.5in)
