A quality Copeland and Garrett 'New Blanche' plate, the new white glaze lending perfectly to the soft blue of the 'Castle' or 'Gate of Sebastian' pattern introduced by Spode c1815. Matches well with other Spode pieces. In perfect condition, probably hardly used over 170 years! Impressed 'Copeland & Garrett' and printed underglaze blue with 'Copeland & Garrett' and 'New Blanche'. Diameter 25.25cm (10in)
