A lovely early Bizarre sugar bowl, boldly painted on an old Newport shape in orange, purple and blue. Produced in the first year or so of Clarice Cliff's original Bizarre designs, it shows every brush stroke to emphasize the hand painted qualities of the range. In excellent condition - no chips, cracks or restoration. 'Bizarre by Clarice Cliff' signature backstamp with Newport Pottery mark. Width 9.25cm (3.6in)
