A beautiful Charlotte Rhead 'Foxglove' charger finely tube-lined in blue with enamelled leaves and flowers in green, pink, yellow, blue and mauve. A colourful and vibrant design enhanced by the snow glaze ground. Introduced to great acclaim at the 1937 British Industries Fair. In excellent condition - no chips, cracks or restoration. Some fine crazing really only noticed under close scrutiny and nothing to detract from the display value of this much sought after design. Rare to find, especially in such good order. Pierced foot rim for hanging. Signed in blue enamel 'C Rhead' with decorator's mark 'H' for Hannah Williams, pattern number 4953 and printed 'Crown Ducal, Made in England' mark.
