Charlotte Rhead Crown Ducal 'Blue Tulips' Vase c1936 - Pattern 4794

A superb Charlotte Rhead tube-lined 'Blue Tulips' (also known as 'Kashmir') 213 twin handled vase. A lovely ribbed shape with an Iznic design of stylised flowers in blue, purple and red with soft copper lustre lines and dots. Set against a mottled blue background, the intricate pattern shows beautifully the skill of the tube-liners and paintresses. A rich and vibrant design, produced in 1936/38 for A. G. Richardson. In excellent condition; no chips, cracks or restoration and little sign of wear. Signed in blue enamel 'C Rhead' by Rose Dickinson and printed Crown Ducal with moulded shape no. 213.
