A superb Charlotte Rhead tube-lined 'Blue Tulips' (also known as 'Kashmir') bowl standing on three semi-circular feet. A classic art deco shape with an Iznic inspired design of stylised flowers in blue, purple and red with soft copper lustre lines and dots. Set against a mottled blue background, the intricate pattern shows beautifully the skill of the tube-liners and decorators. A rich and vibrant design produced c1936-38. In excellent condition - no chips, cracks or restoration and little sign of wear. Signed in blue enamel 'C Rhead' by Rose Dickinson and printed Crown Ducal mark. Diameter 21.5cm (8.5in)
