A lovely Carlton Ware dish (shape 1608) beautifully enamelled and gilded with a spider and web, moth and butterfly amongst brambles and bluebells on a rouge royale ground. Highlighted and finished with best gold. In excellent condition - no chips, cracks or restoration and showing little sign of wear to the gilding. A lovely example, difficult to find in such good order. Carlton Ware script mark with impressed shape number. Smallest of three sizes produced. Length 21.5cm (8.5in)
