A superb quality Carlton Ware vase (shape 2089) beautifully painted all round with two mallard ducks flying over purple irises on a lovely Rouge Royale background. Highlighted and finished with best gold. In excellent condition; no chips, cracks or restoration and showing little sign of wear to the gilding. A fine example, rare to find in such good order. Carlton Ware script mark with impressed shape number. Medium of three sizes produced. Height 17.75cm (7in)
