A superb blue 'Mikado' powder bowl hand enamelled with chinoiserie motifs embellished with best gold. The interior with mother-of-pearl lustre and further hand enamelling and gilt. An unusual piece in excellent condition; no chips, cracks or restoration and showing little signs of wear. Rare to find, especially in such good order. Carlton Ware script mark with painted pattern number 2364. Lid with original paper label. Diameter 13.3cm (5.25in)
