A superb Burmantofts faience double handled vase designed by Joseph Walmsley. Decorated with moulded and incised Turkish tulips painted in beautiful tones of sea green, olive and yellow. Lovely and unusual colours which made Burmantofts much sought after. In excellent condition - no chips, cracks or restoration. Rare to find, especially in such good order. A classic piece of English art nouveau pottery. Impressed Burmantofts Faience with shape number 2250 and painted colour code with decorator's mark. Height 28.5cm (11.2in)
