A fine Bough Pottery preserve jar hand painted with bright green berries on a cobalt blue ground, the lid with a lovely contrasting crimson finial. Probably by Richard Amour, brother of Glasgow School graduate Elizabeth Amour who founded the Edinburgh based studio in 1913. In excellent condition - no chips, cracks or restoration. Often stained through use, this is a good clean example. Stamped BOUGH Made in Scotland. Height 9.5cm (3.75in)
