Beautiful Grimwades Royal Winton 'Garden Terrace' Moreton Vase c1938

A large and impressive Moreton shape vase by Royal Winton in the much sought after 'Terrace' garden range. Hand painted flowers extend upwards from the base in lovely enamelled colours of blue, mauve and rose. The background sky has subtle shades of pink and blue - absolutely stunning. Distant steps and a terrace are framed by trees which extend to form two handles. In great condition, showing little sign of wear and no damage or restoration. Some glaze crazing typical of these wares, but really only noticed on the base underneath. Early circular Royal Winton, Grimwades mark and impressed 'Moreton'. Height 24.5cm (9.65in)
